      Hi dedoid,

I’ve managed to identify several bacteriophage (bacteria killing viruses) within populations of a nasty tummy bug Salmonella by looking at DNA sequences. My work focusses more on the interactions between the two, as this is a fundemental part of using these viruses as additives to food, and to clear infections in animals and humans. I’m also interested in something these viruses create, which is called a ‘lysin’, which is a protein which gobbles up bacterial cell walls.
