  Personally I haven’t come across many horrible diseases luckily but scientifically I think mesothelioma is really bad. Its a type of lung cancer which is quite rare (although still 2,700 cases each year in the UK) but there aren’t any good treatment options. Patients have chemotherapy, surgery or radiotherapy but the aim is to treat the symptoms not to get rid of the disease. If patients have chemotherapy it can be given by a catheter directly into the abdomen. Our drugs might be good for mesothelioma and its an area of unmet medical need so we’re looking into it.
