• Question: Since your considering anti cancer drugs what type of cancer?

      Hi Sanah,

      Good question!

      So im working on stopping telomerase from working… which is an enzyme that is used by 90% of cancer cells to immortalize themselves… So in theory, if you stop this enzyme from working you could kill 90% of cancers!

      However things are always more complicated…. And because cells are so complicated, with so much going on inside, and because each type of cancer cell can be very different, the small molecule drugs that i’m developing will most likely work better on some cell lines than others… but it’s hard to predict which!
