If there is a market for a cure to spots then I would consider it, but I think most people wouldnt pay for a product, and the cost involved in its production would probably not be payed back by the sales. I guess theoretically you could use bacteriophage (bacteria eating viruses) to stop spots, as spots are caused by bacteria, and bacteria are killed by bacteriophage, but I can’t imagine people wanting to put a virus on their face, even though they are completely safe.
I’ve never thought about making a cure for spots. There are plenty of products on the market already, like face washes, creams or hormone pills to try and help people with spots. I think these treatments on the market are probably better than anything I could make!
Hi
I’m not sure it will be possible to make a cure but there are products available in shops and at pharmacies and doctors that can help to treat spots. Some skin problems might be treated better with different products so a pharmacist or doctor could help. I don’t think I could make a better drug than existing ones either because we’re working on different types of diseases.

I haven’t really considered it. I would rather work on something that has a bigger impact on society than spots, there are plenty of terrible and fatal diseases out there that are more pressing for research in my opinion!
As the others have said, there are quite a few different treatments already out there, that are quite good. If you visit your doctor, they can give you treatments which are much better than what you can buy over the counter at a pharmacy. These range from benzoyl peroxide cream (which I used and definitely helped) through to laser spot removal, which a friend had!
