      Hi Caitlinr,
      In a few words:
      I grow bacteria in various ways, I use chemistry to extract the compounds they produce and then I test them against infectious bacteria and fungi.

      My aim is to find new compounds that can become antibiotics and fight against multi-drug resistant microorganisms that make us sick.
